Halloweeeeeenies
October 27, 2011
If you know me or if you read this blog you know that I am obsessed with Halloween. I feel like my costumes have gotten way more interesting and authentic over the years.
In 2007, I wore a store bought costume and dressed up as Alice in Wonderland. The dress was super short and I had bangs at the time so it looked super cute/porn at the same time. L, some other people and I ended up at Buddha Bar which was great and then some random after parties. There was a limo ride with a middle aged Arab man and a real life stripper at some point that night.
In 2008, I didn’t do anything, dressed as a school girl and went to some lame bar.
In 2009, I dressed up as Mia in Pulp Fiction, bloody nose covered with white powder and super short hair – I cut my hair because of love life problems but I lie and tell people I cut it for the costume. Went to Bagatelle and Kiss & Fly with L and MVP, everyone LOVED my costume! Ended up at Mr. Ungrateful’s apartment afterwards wearing a trench coat and lingerie, I don’t remember having sex but I remember having a fight and me storming out at 5am and that was the last time he saw me naked.
In 2010, that was the Chloe Halloween Shit Show. I dressed up as Alice in Closer – yes when she was a stripper with the pink wig. Barely anyone got it, most people just thought I was a regular stripper. Went to Oak Room with L and MVP, they oversold tickets, MVP got bored of waiting to get in, as soon as she left I saw this guy doing the party and he walked us in and they didn’t even look at our tickets which was basically a waste. SD was in town and at the same table, I was a bitch to him, then I got drunk, he was ignoring me, we all went over to Lavo and L left me because she was getting annoyed at me being drunk. At Lavo, SD was mean to me, I started hysterically crying in front of everyone, we all left and I started walking away from them towards Madison Avenue at 4am dressed as a stripper. Thankfully one of the guys had the bright idea of putting me, still crying into a cab.
This year I’m dressing up as Edie Sedgwick, I didn’t know who she was until I watched Factory Girl on the flight back from London a while ago. Loved the movie, which apparently wasn’t very factual, and ended up reading her biography. I’m draw to these self destructive women who are so in the spot light and fade out so tragically. I got the blonde wig already so this should be fun. No idea where we’re going (MVP and I and some others) but SD is back in town so will try to avoid that.

Rocks & Naked Chicks
October 25, 2011
And by naked chicks, I mean me. Columbus day weekend I was out in the Hamptons with MVP, the guy she’s seeing, and this photographer guy who had taken a few naked photos of MVP a few weeks earlier. I had loved the photos, some were black and white, some were sepia, all of them were full of emotion and beautiful. So of course when he asked me to shoot with him I jumped at the chance. The photos he chooses, I think he’s doing one of each girl since he’s been working on this project since January, are blown up 6ft by 4ft on metallic paper, put on a metallic frame and sold for a charity foundation for a few grand each and all of the proceeds go to a charity for orphans. It’s an amazing concept and all of the photos he showed me were just so beautiful. I think we may be getting one blown up photo for ourselves, fingers crossed. There were more photos but I’ve included the 5 that he has sent to me so far.

The land down under…
October 20, 2011

I just recently had fall break, there was a Hampton’s trip involved and lots of love life drama but I’ll write about that later. I just booked my flight to Sydney, Australia!!!! It cost me $2,ooo but whatever it’s worth it. My cousin is going to go live there with his girlfriend for 6 months so I’m going to go stay with them for 3 weeks during my winter break. There’s a million and one things I want to see but I’m not sure it’ll all be possible – definitely want to make a trip to Melbourne and Tasmania and I’m really interested in going to see how the aborigines live but I think that’s super far out and maybe impossible? I’ll figure it out as for now yayyyyy!
And another one bites the dust…
October 5, 2011

So FD, the old guy, and I are dunzo. He lasted a month…without any fights…that’s more than most. Basically the ex drama was getting out of hand, we went to dinner last Thursday where he was all upset because he was a having a bad day. He decided to take his bad day out on me as apparently I’m everyone’s favorite punching bag. I just dealt with it. He went to LA for the weekend. Called me when he got back, everything was all peachy until his ex decided to let him know that she was “better” now so he obviously had to go out to dinner with her. I got upset but I figured that it was just dinner and she’d probably do something crazy and that would be the end of that. Apparently I was wrong. He went out to dinner with her again on Friday and Saturday we basically had a talk where he told me he was going to stay with her until she got back on her feet and found someone new. This girl is a parasite and can’t be alone. We decided that we’d just be friends and not hook up until this all blew over.
Feeling rejected I decided that the best way to make myself feel better would be to sleep with TM. It didn’t really work, he wasn’t as good as I remembered or maybe he just felt super guilty about cheating on his girlfriend. Whatever, not really my problem.
So this whole me being patient and friendly thing lasted until yesterday when everyone who I told the story to reacted the same way “get the hell out of there, you’re a hot law student and he’s 40″. I called him when I got home and he didn’t answer so of course I resorted to email.
“I called you before to tell you that I can’t be your patient friend. I can deal with all the baggage and the drama but I can’t deal with you rejecting me, especially not within the first month. If you saw any potential in this you wouldn’t have screwed it up by going back to something that was broken without repair and I’m not going to play second fiddle to your ex or place myself in a situation where I constantly have to look over my shoulder to see if she’s there. I wish you the best.”
Can we talk about how normal and non-psycho that message was? I haven’t been psycho since SD. Who am I? He replied this morning telling me to call his office, so I did. He basically gave me the whole speech about how he doesn’t want me to be mad and he didn’t reject me because of me but because of the situation and he can’t help that he’s still attached to her and that he told me from the beginning. Yeah, in the beginning you also told me you wouldn’t get back with her because it obviously won’t work. Whatever, as I say – they always come back.
PS last time we hung out he told me to bring the book he lent me back and I told him that set of red alarms. He didn’t get it but I guess it really was a sign that the curtains were closing. Oh well.

Anything Goes
October 4, 2011
I went to see Anything Goes on Broadway with my family Friday night. Personally, I’m not really a Broadway show type of person and this was only my 3rd show, Broadway shows are more my mothers thing, whereas the ballet is more my thing. Out of all three shows that I’ve seen (Mamma Mia, Burn the Floor), this was definitely the best. Sutton Foster is absolutely amazing!!! I think I would just go to the show simply to see her. For the most part there were several LOL moments, some chuckling and some parts which were boring. Both my brother and I agreed that the parts of the show focusing on the character Hope were just boring because Hope was boring and not very attractive. My favorite part was the scene right before intermission where they performed what was I’m assuming to be the main song “Anything Goes” which was accompanied by a very long and exciting tap dance number. Also, loved the majority of the costumes. I’d recommend going to see this show. Side note: the majority of the audience was extremely old, like white hair and or balding old, I think my brother and I were the youngest people there but that might also be due to the fact that most 20 something year old’s don’t spend their Friday nights at Broadway shows. Extra side note: they did a tad bit of this show on the first episode of this seasons Glee.
